Newsroom
The primary goal was to create a centralized platform where all TomTom news could be presented cohesively, catering to a diverse audience including journalists, press professionals, the general public, and other stakeholders.
These improvements ensured that the Newsroom page not only presented content effectively but also provided an engaging, user-friendly experience tailored to the needs of its varied audience.
A key consideration was ensuring that individual UI elements felt consistent while serving different purposes across the Newsroom.
To achieve this, I focused on streamlining the user journey by ensuring intuitive navigation and easy access to relevant information. I introduced a clear distinction between different types of content, such as press releases and general news, allowing users to quickly identify and access the information they needed.
The header was designed to establish a clear entry point to the Newsroom and provide a consistent navigation experience. Its structure prioritizes the most relevant destinations while helping users understand where they are within the broader website.
New Header
The news listing was structured to make different types of editorial content easier to identify and explore. A consistent presentation of content helps users scan headlines, distinguish press releases from general news, and quickly find information relevant to their needs.
News and Press releases section
The tags section introduces a topic-based way to explore the Newsroom beyond the chronological news feed. By surfacing relevant subjects, it helps users discover related stories and navigate directly to areas of interest.
